Life and Times of an Engineer

Over the last 17 Years Working as a Highly Qualified, Multi-skilled (Plumber and Gas) Engineer, I very much enjoy providing a High Level of Customer Service to people, and knowing I've acheived what I've set out to do, and successfully deliver a Service the public are expecting.

I've worked for a few Well Known ''BIG'' named Companies during this time, and have worked alongside some Outstanding Engineers, and some Very shoddy (So called) ''Engineers'', sometimes wondering where they have purchased their ''qualifications from ( I know they could'nt have studied for them, surely....).  So when you've worked on behalf of these ''BIG'' named Companies, thats making millions at the publics expense who are suppose to be giving 2nd to none service, and you've witnessed an come across Many Scenarios Such As:

A FAMILY OF 4 WITH YOUNG CHILDREN, BEING LEFT WITHOUT HOT WATER & HEATING FOR A FEW WEEKS, WHO HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH NOTHING BUT EMPTY PROMISES TO GET THE SITUATION RECTIFIED....AND....

A SENIOR CITIZEN BEING TOLD PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE THE NEXT DAY TO COMPLETE A JOB, ONLY FOR THE CUSTOMER TO BE TOLD BY THE COMPANY OFFICE, THAT IN FACT THE PART HAS ARRIVED BUT THEY CAN'T GET NO ENGINEERS OUT TO FIT IT, LEAVING THE CUSTOMER WAITING A FURTHER WEEK OR TWO WITHOUT HEATING OR HOT WATER...AND...

A CUSTOMER BEING FORCED TO CALL THE OFFICE BECAUSE, THE BOILER HAS BEING MAKING A FUNNY NOISE, AND THE UN-QUALIFIED CALL CENTRE STAFF HAS TOLD HER TO SWITCH OFF THE BOILER COMPLETELY, ONLY FOR AN ENGINEER FROM THE COMPANY (ARRIVING A WEEK LATER) TURNING THE BOILER BACK ON TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, AND FOUND IT ONLY TO BE AIR IN THE HEATING SYSTEM, WHICH MEANS THE CUSTOMER COULD HAVE LEFT THE BOILER ON, AND HAD HEATING AND HOT WATER  INSTEAD OF SUFFERING NEEDLESSLY BECAUSE CALL CENTRE STAFF HAD GIVEN BAD ADVICE....

...It was time for FIRST FOR HEATING to be set up, so that people are not Suffering Unnessesarily, whilst these ''BIG'' Companies get rich at the Customers Expense, through Incompetence.  96% of our work/jobs are through Word-of-Mouth Recommendations, which we are VERY PROUD of as it shows we are doing something right.  FIRST FOR HEATING also have a 97% First Time Fix Rate AS WE HAVE MORE SPARES ON THE VAN THAN MOST.

SO IF YOU'VE TRIED THE REST, AND YOUR NOT IMPRESSED, STOP MESSING ABOUT AND TRY THE BEST!!!

PLEASE NOTE: For those of you who have a Back Boiler, please make sure that you get it serviced, by a Quliafied Engineer.  Do Not hesitate to Research/ Check up on an Engineers Credentials.

I went to a job today and the customer told me that, the back boiler had been serviced every year by a well known company.

I had to disconnect the boiler for her safety, and told her to get in touch with the service contractors, as they had not serviced the back boiler properly or at all.
